The begonias i brought indoors last fall are leggy. It’s time to take cuttings.
Giving the begonias–or any plant–a haircut makes them bushier, with more flowers. Plus i have the added benefit of rooted cuttings that multiply the number of begonias i can set out as bedding plants in May.
At the same time that i’m pruning my begonias, i’m pruning a few “heirlooms.” I’m sending one of my mother’s painting to a cousin, and her hors d’oeuvres tray to my nephew. Ahem. Nowadays, the tray is called a charcuterie board.
Whether it’s flowering plants or stuff, i’m multiplying joy.
