Wood frogs are quacking in vernal pools. They migrated from their solitary homes in the woods on Thursday night when it rained and the temperature was above 41 degrees.
My friends helped 46 wood frogs across the road on the Big Night of the crossing. They said passing cars squashed 23 frogs at their spot. Even though my friends put up warning signs to slow cars down, some cars simply sped on by, not paying attention to the Slow Down signs.
How often do we not pay attention to our intuition telling us to slow down? Think before you speak. Consider the effects of your actions on yourself and on others. Are you spending your time with admirable friends or noble social media?
Today’s mindless actions build the habits for tomorrow’s unthinking behaviors.
The wood frogs are calling.
