Every year, All-America Selections sends me several packets of free seeds. This year, the big hit in my garden is Concert Bell sunflowers. These medium-size sunflowers all have a sturdy 8-10 inch stalk. They stand up nicely in a vase. Beautiful flowers make a beautiful arrangement.
I’d love for my life to be as reliable as these sunflowers, but, of course, it is not. At the moment, my life is safe, peaceful, and happy. I cannot tell you why. It’s a big mystery to me.
I planted sunflowers in remembrance of the people of Ukraine, whose lives are not safe.
Life is uncertain, and that is no mystery.
