First Frost–Finally

The first frost has finally fallen. The gardens are now officially dead, though clean-up remains to be done. Clean up now, so you don’t have to do it in the spring. However, garden energy is running low now, and it starts to run like sap in trees, come March.

November has its own beauty. The forest is golden around my house as beech leaves beam their gold and copper leaves. The clear sky, which allows the heat of the earth to escape upwards and thereby cool the temperature, also gives rise to a sunny day.

Life in the garden. Alive in the garden, regardless of death.
